I was a baby, lying on my back. Young enough that I couldn’t sit up or even roll over. I could see, however, and as I looked around, I became aware of a few simple things:
I could see a person with dark curly hair looking down at me and I felt a strong attachment and love for this person (mom had dark curly hair when I was young).
I could see the top of some trees. Evergreens with pointy tops. I could relate to those forms of life too, but not as strongly as the person.
I then realized that I, too, was an individual, and would remain so… for a while.

I love this moment of true awareness of the soul. Like you are entering this body as a fully conscious soul already knowing language and recognizing that you are now here in this life for a long time to come. You had these fully formed thoughts as a baby looking out into the world. This awareness follows you and perhaps allows you to look at life a little differently than most. It feels like a gift to have remembered that moment. Thank you for sharing your story.
So fascinating that this memory of being a baby. I so wish I could recall one like this… I’m sure we all have them in our subconscious…
